TENT GATHERING AT 10AM THIS SUNDAY
This Sunday, I look forward to seeing everyone at the Tent Gathering. As we gather this Sunday for our Tent Gathering, I wanted to go over the schedule with you. This Sunday, our schedule is as follows:
9am-10am: Coffee and Conversation. As you arrive, grab a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Enjoy having conversation with one another and the chance to be together. Also, if you’re willing, some will be setting up for the 10 am service. We welcome your help, if you’re able.
10am-11am: Tent Gathering Service. *At 10am, bring your camping chairs or blankets to make for yourself a place outside, underneath our tent. We will gather to worship as we set our eyes upon Jesus. Highland, I ask that we would be in prayer for the name of Jesus to be exalted in our corporate gathering; that those who wander, or are deceived throughout our streets, would hear that Jesus saves, and repent! We will conclude and dismiss following this service. So, breakfast will be offered but not lunch.
We are strongly encouraging social distancing and masks will be available for those who would feel most comfortable wearing one. If you have a mask, please bring one for yourself to use. We ask that you stay home when you are sick. We also ask that you cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash. Also, avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands. Finally, keeping your hands clean using sanitizer or by washing them with soap is vital. If you have a personal bottle of sanitizer, bring it and keep it on you for your personal use throughout gatherings.

Midweek Devo
““Finally, all of you, have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary, bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing. For
“Whoever desires to love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit;
let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.
For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayer.
But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.””
Highland,
Here is our text from Sunday’s sermon. Let us press on to know the Lord and to make Him known, by bringing this passage to life in the way we conduct ourselves. Highland, the ONLY WAY to do this is to remain submissive to the authority of the Holy Spirit, allowing Him total command of our disposition, resulting in the “Gospel-flavored fruit” we see in this text being produced within our lives.
Highland, this is my charge to us! Again, I say, remaining submissive and in agreement with the Holy Spirit is the only way that this is possible for a band of sinners, like us. There is nothing good in us; holy within us, apart from the Holy Spirit. As we delight under the reign of His gentle authority within us, He continues to set our dispositions apart from our flesh, producing desires within our disposition that lead us to delight within being a blessing to those who offer us evil, to keep our tongues from speaking deceit and evil and, instead, finding joy in pursuing peace with those who offer us offense.
Highland, I love you. I am grateful that I have the privilege of serving as your Pastor - I do not take this post lightly. I continue to ask the Lord to grant us ‘unity in mind, a sympathetic understanding for one another, a brotherly love, tenderness in heart and humble minds.’ Know that as I pursue to glorify the Lord in all that I do, I am also in pursuit of your good, in His honor.
I hope your week is going well. I look forward to seeing you Sunday, as we celebrate the One, Jesus, who overcame death so that, through repentance, we get to know victory over sin and death in His name.
I am excited to do life with you,
Rob

“Therefore we were buried with Him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in a new way of life. For if we have been joined with Him in the likeness of His death, we will certainly also be in the likeness of His resurrection. For we know that our old self was crucified with Him in order that sin’s dominion over the body may be abolished, so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin, since a person who has died is freed from sin’s claims. Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with Him, because we know that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will not die again. Death no longer rules over Him. For in light of the fact that He died, He died to sin once for all; but in light of the fact that He lives, He lives to God. So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus.”
Plans for March 27th & 28th
Thanks to all who came to serve Chicken & Rice today! I rejoice over the love and dedication of our team, who love their neighbors as themselves, in honor of our Lord.
At this time, the storms are scheduled to come into our area tomorrow afternoon, thus we plan to hold services. If the weather forecast changes, we will post updates here, on our blog page, and share them with you. We will hold our services tomorrow: 9am - Coffee and Conversation, 10am - Tent Gathering. Our Tent Gathering will be a Baptism Service for those who have recently repented and professed Jesus as Lord. We welcome you to join us to celebrate those who hold to the eternal hope of Jesus for salvation. I am looking forward fo seeing everyone tomorrow.
I love you, Highland,
Rob
